First Sandwich
Needed to get ingredients. House already had like, 3 containers of peanut butter for some reason, so I just needed to get the bread and jelly. Fridge space is a concern since I share one with the rest of the family. The jelly was compact enough, but I knew the bread was a concern because like, the quantity in which they sell it here in America is Very large. Gotta love bread if you're gonna buy that much. Fortunately they did have half-loaves though! Fit right into what remaining fridge space there currently was.
So the actual making and eating of the sandwich: Making it wasn't eventful, however I definitely think I used too much peanut butter. I put it on both sides of the inner bread and the taste of peanut butter totally over powered the jelly. Not to mention, I think the double coat of peanut butter cased the inside of the sandwich to be quite slippery, so some of the jelly just slipped out onto the plate.
Second Sandwich
Having learned my lesson from yesterday, I made another sandwich with half as much peanut butter. It was much better. I could actually taste the jelly this time, and because there was no second layer of butter to lubricate the jelly, the stuff actually stayed in the sandwich this time. End result: clean (minus the bread crumbs) plate.
The peanut butter n' jelly sandwich did not blow me away with it's taste, but I understand the hype. Kinda. Easy to make and my stomach is full, so I guess it's a win all around.
