Voidbound Entities

When objects, living or not, enter the Nullscape, they become voidtouched. Such entities gain odd abilities compared to their mundane counterparts. For example, the Operator, who originated from a traffic light, took on a life of its own as a result of coming into contact with the Void.

As entities spend more and more time in the Void, they eventually become voidbound. This state is usually marked by an increase in volatility and power, though some entities remain stable. Voidbound entities also look different compared to their mundane or even voidtouched counterpart.

Once an entity becomes voidbound, it can no longer leave the Void.

Stable and Unstable

The terms "stable" and "unstable" are used to describe voidbound entities.

Stable entities are defined as those who retain some elements of how they behaved prior to becoming fully voidbound. They are generally docile, or are capable of reasoning. An example of this are the fauna seen in the game's main lobby. Their properties are attuned to living in the Void, but more or less act like normal animals.

Unstable entities are opposite to stable ones, often bearing volatile powers or dispositions. Many hostile entities fall under this category, though where their instability lies can depend on the entity itself.
